Year-End Giving to The Dance Hub

Dear Dance Supporter,

The Dance Hub is a welcoming, non-threatening place to dance where all are taken seriously. It is a place where friendships are made and celebrated everyday through dance. This year our efforts were directed at expanding AD&M’s programming to meet the needs of more students as well as grow our long-term renter family. Our work was fruitful, but unfortunately tuition and rental income do not cover the costs of our community programming or making needed upgrades to the space. Will you consider making a tax-deductible year-end donation to American Dance & Music today?

Our Accomplishments in 2019

Rent Subsidy and Free Performances – AD&M gave rent subsidies to four choreographers in support of the creation of a new work. We presented these works at The Dance Hub in our free community performance called “Up Close at The Dance Hub”. With your help, we will present our seventh annual “Up Close” in 2020.

Student Performances and Scholarships – AD&M is part of a national trend to address the needs of the serious adult ballet student. Our newly established Student Ballet Performance Group debuts this month, presenting eight talented and unflappable students in a new work created especially for them. Your support will make it possible for us to keep this program going and to provide scholarships to deserving adults.

Maintaining Our Space – the Dance Hub is a beautiful space and we work hard to keep it clean and inviting. In 2019 UCSBs’ Arts and Lectures program and the Lobero’s New Works Residency, contracted with The Dance Hub for rehearsals for dance companies, including, Ballet Preljocaj, Doug Varone and Dancers, and Dance Theater of Harlem. In the heart of Santa Barbara’s arts district, with its donated Steinway grand piano, and state of the art floor, The Dance Hub does not disappoint. But we need your help with upkeep and to make upgrades to the space as needed.

Your tax-deductible gift today will help us to keep The Dance Hub a thriving haven for dance in our community. We would be grateful for your support at any level. Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year.

With kindest regards,
